Emerging Travel Group Experiences Significant Growth in Turkey Bookings This Year

Emerging Travel Group has seen a notable increase in bookings to Turkey, primarily attributed to B2B users, including travel agents and business travelers.

Global travel conglomerate Emerging Travel Group (ETG) reports an increase of around 15 percent in bookings to Turkey on its platforms from January to September of this year.

The growth seen on RateHawk, Roundtrip, and ZenHotels was primarily driven by B2B users, both travel agents and business travelers. Bookings in these categories rose by 35 percent year-on-year.

According to ETG’s head of direct supply, Simone Large:

“Turkey consistently ranks among the top booked destinations across our platforms, drawing strong demand from a wide range of travelers. As a result, more Turkish property owners are choosing ETG as their trusted partner, which is reflected in an 11 percent year-over-year increase in directly contracted properties. We are committed to building on this momentum and aim to double the number of direct accommodation supply in Turkey by summer.”

ETG’s analytics show similarities and differences in travel preferences across its platforms, with top chosen destinations being Istanbul, Antalya, and Alanya. Individual travelers often preferred seaside towns like Kaş, while corporate clients mainly visited Istanbul along with key transport hubs.

Individual tourists spent an average of €103 per night, favoring 3-star and 4-star hotels, while corporate clients paid more, averaging €156 for agent bookings and €218 for corporate stays.

To assist Turkish hoteliers, Emerging Travel Group diversifies their distribution strategy, providing access to a global audience of 20 million monthly guests and over 30,000 corporate clients, ensuring high-value bookings even during off-peak seasons.
