The second iteration of the Green & Blue Summit was held at Les Roches Marbella, with support from the Marbella City Hall and the Junta de Andalucía’s Tourist Plan for Major Cities. The summit aimed to foster collaboration across public, private, and academic sectors to promote more sustainable and regenerative tourism models.

The first panel focused on strategic water management and its sustainability challenges within the industry. It featured prominent figures such as Emilia Villanueva, the founder of KIT ESG, and Julián Romaguera, an executive advisor in golf, sports, and hospitality asset management. José Antonio Martín from Polarier highlighted technological advancements in water consumption for laundry, showing a drastic reduction from 30 liters per kilo to just 4 liters.

Additionally, the summit addressed luxury tourism’s evolution. Manuel Murga of Hotel Obal Marbella and other key players discussed the shift towards more meaningful luxury experiences and environmental responsibility.

The event underscored Marbella’s goal to set benchmarks in sustainable tourism, aiming to create a balanced model that prioritizes experience and accountability.
