APO Group, a pan-African communications and news distribution consultancy, has announced that its founder and chairman, Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard, has been appointed to the advisory board of the Future Hospitality Summit Africa (FHS Africa) 2026.

As a board member, he will be pivotal in shaping the strategic direction of FHS Africa, offering critical insights into the event’s agenda. His contributions will ensure the summit continues to facilitate meaningful and forward-thinking discussions relating to hospitality and investment within the continent.

Pompigne-Mognard emphasized the importance of the hospitality sector in advancing African economies by stating, > “Hotels are a cornerstone of Africa’s growth story. They attract tourism, stimulate foreign investment, and generate foreign currency. More importantly, they provide a platform for vital business meetings and events that bring together multinational organisations across the continent.”

He aims to bolster efforts that enhance Africa’s status as a premier destination for hospitality investment and development.

Before this appointment, Pompigne-Mognard was part of the Africa Hotel Investment Forum (AHIF) advisory board from 2019 to 2025 and has participated as a speaker at both AHIF and the Forum de l’Investissement Hôtelier Africain (FIHA).

Acknowledged as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Africans in 2023 and 2024, he continues to hold various senior advisory roles across key sectors in Africa.
