
Khiri Travel and YAANA Ventures Triumph at TDM Travel Trade Excellence Awards 2025 in Thailand

Khiri Travel and YAANA Ventures have been awarded at the TDM Travel Trade Excellence Awards 2025 held in Thailand. The companies were recognized for their commitment to responsible tourism, showcasing a model that not only heals ecosystems but also supports local communities.
Regenerative, Tech-Driven Tourism
Khiri Travel, awarded as the Destination Management Company (DMC) of the Year, operates across nine Asian countries by integrating local insights and digital innovation to create sustainable travel experiences. Their mission includes transforming tourism into a beneficial force for both local populations and the environment. Notably, they are working towards obtaining GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) certification by the end of 2025.
In 2024, Khiri welcomed over 20,000 travelers while also implementing initiatives to reduce plastic usage and foster eco-friendly tourism activities. Their digital tools, such as the Khiri Hub and Khiri GO, have optimized travel planning for efficiency and convenience.
Regenerating Tourism
Meanwhile, Anurak Community Lodge, part of YAANA Ventures, received the ESG Initiative of the Year award. This lodge is dedicated to regenerative tourism, focusing on environmental and cultural restoration. Launched in 2016, it has shifted towards a fully regenerative model, emphasizing conservation through sustainable practices and community engagement.
Anurak Lodge’s recent collaborations with Chiang Mai University’s FORRU team, alongside their initiatives for local biodiversity and education, aim to become a replicable model of restorative tourism across Southeast Asia.
