Travelsoft Expands Horizon with Acquisition of Travolution
Travelsoft has bolstered its position in the travel technology media sector by acquiring Travolution, enhancing its Media & Events Division.
Travelsoft has acquired Travolution through its subsidiary Eventiz from Jacobs Media. Travolution will be integrated into Eventiz to create an international Media & Events division under Travelsoft. This strategic move aims to harness synergies across journalism, insights, analysis, networking, and events.
Following Eventiz’s acquisition in 2024, this development marks a significant step in establishing a top-tier travel tech media brand, merging content, market intelligence, community, and events for travel professionals around the globe.
Travelsoft already operates across various travel tech sectors and regions, backed by a solid client base, a vast supplier network, and a comprehensive technology stack, ensuring its scale, global presence, and profound industry knowledge. The integration of Travolution will further enhance its Media & Events division. Meanwhile, Jacobs Media, known for its deep-rooted heritage in travel and hospitality media, has committed to preserving Travolution’s growth by combining it with Travelsoft’s broader infrastructure.
This acquisition positions Travelsoft to become a leading reference in global travel tech media, connecting technology with editorial authority, fostering better decision-making in the industry, and establishing both digital and face-to-face environments for innovation, insights, and community. The objective is to help audiences navigate the rapidly evolving world of travel tech with confidence.
Christian Sabbagh, Founder & CEO of Travelsoft, emphasized, “The acquisition of Travolution and its synergy with Eventiz aligns seamlessly with our strategy to integrate technology, content, and community. The fast-paced evolution of travel technology necessitates not just platform development but also deep listening, information sharing, connection, and anticipation. Travolution contributes a rich heritage, editorial excellence, and reliable insights.”
Duncan Horton, Group CEO of Jacobs Media, commented, “We have utmost pride in Travolution’s role as a pioneering voice in the B2B travel tech space for many years. Under Travelsoft, we believe Travolution will flourish, leveraging access to global scale and complementary Media & Events capabilities. This natural evolution safeguards Travolution’s editorial independence and maintains its industry trust for the future.”
Guillaume Poulain, Managing Director of Eventiz, added, “Together, we aim to establish a reference in global travel tech media that empowers professionals to make informed decisions, anticipate industry shifts, and mold the future of travel.”
Kate Harden-England, Editor of Travolution, expressed, “I’ve witnessed how Travolution has grown to be Europe’s leading source for travel tech insights, market analysis, and connections. Joining Eventiz and the broader Travelsoft Group presents exciting possibilities. We’ll deliver richer content, broader reach, and more impactful events, while remaining true to our journalistic values and the industry focus our readers depend on. Our goal is clear — to raise our standards and become the go-to reference in travel tech media.”
