AirAsia Explorer Pass
AirAsia MOVE’s flagship travel subscription product, the ASEAN Explorer Pass, was showcased at the conclusion of the 2025 ASEAN Tourism Forum in Johor, Malaysia on January 20th. This initiative is aimed at promoting accessible travel throughout the ASEAN region.
The ASEAN Explorer Pass offers subscribers the chance to explore various destinations across ASEAN via AirAsia’s extensive flight network. In addition to discounted hotel stays, it provides transportation options through AirAsia Ride for an entire year, along with seasonal promotions.
Nadia Omer, the Chief Executive of AirAsia MOVE, emphasized, “We are thrilled that the ASEAN Explorer Pass has been recognized as a significant initiative that supports travel across ASEAN during the closing ceremony of the 2025 ASEAN Tourism Forum. We extend our gratitude to Yang Berhormat Dato Sri Tiong King Sing for collaborating with us on the product launch last April and promoting it among key travel stakeholders.”
According to Omer, this pass will facilitate exploration beyond the well-known destinations, allowing travelers to discover lesser-known treasures of each ASEAN country. “This initiative also aims to boost local economies and mitigate issues associated with overtourism.”
Since the pass launch in April 2024, over 25,000 journeys have taken place, including visits to cities such as Makassar, Jogjakarta, Da Nang, and Johor Bahru.
Omer concluded, “We encourage the national carriers of each ASEAN country to join us in further enhancing the ASEAN Explorer Pass, and we look forward to discussing opportunities to unlock even more destinations for global visitors.”
