ITB Asia 2025 has officially commenced at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre on October 15. This marks the 18th edition of the event, which is currently hosting over 18,000 travel industry professionals, dignitaries, and members of the media. The event includes the main ITB exhibition, MICE Show Asia, and Travel Tech Asia.
For the first time since its inception, the 2025 edition boasts the event’s largest footprint since 2008, occupying five halls across two levels of the expansive venue. The theme, Future Forward: Transforming Travel and Tourism in a Changing World, focuses on the latest trends affecting the sector, such as technological advancements, sustainability, and innovation in travel.
In his opening address, David Ruetz, Senior Vice President of Messenger Berlin, highlighted the event’s reflection of the growing importance within the industry landscape. He stated, “We are welcoming over 1,500 buyers, the highest participation to date.” New participants from Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Hungary, Tamil Nadu, Da Nang, and Kaohsiung City Government will also be attending, marking the event’s broadened international reach.
This year, ITB Asia introduces the Experiences & Attractions Highlight Zone, with notable exhibitors including Disney Cruise Line, Mandai Woodlake Wildlife Reserve, and Resort World Sentosa. There is an increased representation from Central Asia and Africa, alongside prominent involvement from Indian state tourism boards. Additionally, the role of travel technology in the future of tourism was emphasized, showcasing key talks by industry leaders from companies like TripAdvisor and Amadeus. With a 15% expansion of the show floor and an influx of new exhibitors, the event underscores the strong demand for innovation within the travel tech ecosystem.
