Increase in Portugal Stopover Program Participation

TAP Air Portugal reports a 74% growth in customers utilizing the Portugal Stopover between January and June 2025 compared to the previous year.

Growth in Portugal Stopover Program

TAP Air Portugal has reported that from January to June 2025, over 193,000 customers utilized the Portugal Stopover, marking a 74% increase compared to the same timeframe last year. This represents 5% of all tickets issued globally by TAP during this period.

In June alone, 9% of all TAP tickets featured the Stopover option, with notable statistics including 12.7% of passengers from Brazil and 6% from the United States opting for it.

The airline is actively promoting the Stopover program in Europe, enabling customers to include a free stopover in Lisbon or Porto for up to 10 days on their outbound or return flight. Passengers can also explore a second region in Portugal, enjoying 25% off on additional flights within the country.

Customers can access exclusive discounts and special offers at over 150 partners throughout Portugal, covering an extensive range of services from hotels to museum entries and tours.

TAP’s initiative not only enriches travelers’ experiences but also boosts tourism revenues across the country’s regions.
