
Etihad Airways Expands Network with New Kabul Flights Starting December 2025

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, is set to broaden its regional service with new flights to Kabul, Afghanistan, commencing on December 18, 2025. This initiative addresses the growing demand for travel between the UAE and Afghanistan, allowing direct access from Abu Dhabi to Kabul and facilitating seamless connections to significant markets across the GCC, Europe, Australia, and North America.

This new route is part of Etihad’s effort to invest in strategic markets across the Middle East and South Asia, offering vital services that will bolster trade, investment, and cultural exchanges, particularly aiding the large Afghan diaspora living around the world. Currently, about 300,000 Afghans reside in the UAE, and these flights aim to strengthen economic and social ties as well as connectivity through Abu Dhabi.
