The Mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, the Counselor of Tourism and Andalusia Outdoors of the Andalusian Government, Arturo Bernal, the President of Malaga Diputación, Francisco Salado, and the Bishop of the Diocese of Malaga, Jesús Catalá, participated today in the opening ceremony of the International School of Hospitality and Tourism (Campus EIHT) in Malaga. This training initiative is a project by the Victoria Foundation, with the San Pablo CEU University Foundation as a strategic partner, and will be developed at the Casa Diocesana de la Fundación Victoria (former Seminary). The facilities have been renovated thanks to a grant of 600,000 euros provided to the Diocese by the City of Malaga through the Municipal Housing Institute.
The International School of Hospitality and Tourism aims to be a benchmark in Andalusia through comprehensive and innovative education connected with the job market, offering dual training programs, specialized courses, and activities for students and professionals in the sector.
To achieve this, it will offer higher cycles in kitchen management and restaurant services, professional training with high-level seminars and masterclasses, and gastronomic workshops open to the public. Moreover, it collaborates with public and private entities to stimulate the local economy, promote social inclusion, and highlight Malaga and Andalusia’s culinary culture.
This training center intends to become a key meeting point for innovation and gastronomy entrepreneurship, positioning Malaga as the epicenter of training and development in hospitality and tourism, both nationally and internationally.
