Atmosphere Core, a rapidly expanding international hospitality brand in collaboration with the Amagi Group, is finalizing plans for a boutique resort in Tangalle that will open in late 2026.
“Sri Lanka is a land of stories, rhythms and rich heritage, and with AMAGI SECRET by Atmosphere Tangalle we intend to honour and celebrate those stories,” said Salil Panigrahi, Cofounder and Managing Director of Atmosphere Core. Translation: Sri Lanka is rich in narratives and culture, and this resort aims to honor and showcase them.
The resort will stretch across 11 acres near a natural lake near Sri Lanka’s golden beaches and will feature 33 private pool villas. This includes six lake view villas that overlook the water, spacious one-bedroom villas, and family villas. Designed with local influences, the emphasis is on tradition combined with elegance. Amenities will include dining options, a wellness center, and Ayurvedic treatments.
“From our early days in seafood export, we have always regarded Sri Lanka’s natural resources and human craftsmanship as our foundation,” said Ganeshanathan. Translation: Our history in seafood trade highlights our respect for Sri Lanka’s resources and skills.
Recent trends show a positive recovery in Sri Lanka’s tourism sector, with increasing international arrivals and spending. The AMAGI SECRET is poised to be a prime destination as the island rebounds, offering visitors a genuine immersion into Sri Lankan culture while also supporting local communities.
