Key Insights from Savills Hotels’ Meet the Experts Conference for Vietnamese Hospitality and Real Estate

A summary of pivotal trends unveiled at the Meet the Experts conference, which is a premier event focused on the Vietnamese hospitality and real estate sectors.

Savills Hotels and WeHub successfully hosted the 2025 Meet The Experts (MTE) conference, the most significant annual event for real estate and hospitality in the region, on October 1 in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The conference aims to foster networking, promote collaboration, and share insightful information for stakeholders including developers, hotel owners, operators, and industry professionals.

During the event, industry experts identified various key trends shaping the growth of Vietnam’s hospitality and real estate markets.

Mauro Gasparotti, Senior Director at Savills Hotels in Southeast Asia remarked:

“Vietnam is gradually establishing itself as one of the preferred destinations for Asian travellers. Tourism and accommodation offerings are becoming increasingly diverse, with the entry of new hotel brands across multiple segments catering to different demand groups.”

In focused discussions concerning real estate, representatives from Savills, Indochina Capital, MIK Group Vietnam, GroupGSA, Club Med, The Ascott Limited, and Kusto Home Vietnam shared insights on critical elements of luxury projects and integrated development experiences.

Speakers evaluated trends in branded residences in Vietnam, particularly in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, underscoring the importance of branding during project development and operations.

Furthermore, the dialogue highlighted sustainability, aiming to enhance the quality of living spaces and services. Representatives shared macroeconomic perspectives on Vietnam’s hospitality sector and pivotal movements in the branded residences market.

Notably, senior figures from The Ascott Limited, Dewan Architects + Engineers, Minor Hotels, and Haskoning discussed new models such as experience-led social living concepts, AI applications in design, and the creation of value through wellness and premium experiences.

The discussions also reflected the increasing participation of foreign investors in transforming Vietnam’s real estate and hospitality sectors. To ensure sustainable market growth, it’s crucial to build strategic partnerships and improve the regulatory environment to bolster investor confidence.

Vietnam has set an ambitious goal of welcoming 25 million international visitors by 2025, representing a 40% increase from 2024. The country is actively revising visa policies, expanding international flight routes, upgrading tourism infrastructure, and enhancing destination marketing to enhance competitiveness.

Moreover, Vietnam has recorded a significant surge in international arrivals, positioning itself among the fastest-growing markets in Southeast Asia. Despite earlier threats of oversupply in certain locales, the post-pandemic new supply growth has slowed, presenting both challenges and opportunities for the industry.

Relevant Trends for 2025 During discussions on Vietnam’s hospitality landscape, executives from brands like Accor, BIM Group, Masterise Group, T&T Hospitality, Sun Group, and Radisson Hotel Group examined hotel operations, sector dynamics, and future opportunities.

They noted the rise of integrated mixed-use developments close to major urban centres, aiming to maintain investor interest. Such projects typically amalgamate hotels, resorts, convention centres, retail spaces, and leisure facilities, creating multifunctional ecosystems appealing to both domestic and international audiences.

Additionally, the all-inclusive resort model is witnessing significant growth. Advantages include access to large land parcels, improved connectivity, and burgeoning demand for comprehensive travel experiences.
