Flexjet Secures Historic Order of 300 Aircraft from Otto Aerospace

Flexjet has made significant strides in private aviation with a landmark order for 300 Phantom 3500 business jets.

Private aviation leader Flexjet has officially become the first major client for Otto Aerospace, following a significant milestone with a firm order for 300 Phantom 3500 business jets. This aircraft is designed utilizing cutting-edge laminar-flow aerodynamics and innovative all-carbon-fiber composites, ensuring a fuel efficiency boost of over 60 percent.

The inaugural flight of the Phantom 3500 is projected for 2027, with deliveries commencing in 2030. This order marks one of the largest in business aviation history.

Flexjet’s chair, Kenn Ricci, expressed:

“For 30 years, Flexjet has led through innovation opposed to imitation, introducing tomorrow’s standards, not reacting to yesterday’s expectations. The Phantom 3500 exemplifies that approach perfectly, marking a bold step into a future where an aircraft’s efficiency and sustainability stand alongside speed, comfort, and range as defining standards.”

Flexjet intends to enhance its fleet’s sustainability and travel range through this new addition, ensuring the continuing promise of personalized service for its clients.

Paul Touw, Chief Executive at Otto Aerospace, commented:

“Flexjet’s decision to build their fleet around the Phantom 3500 speaks volumes about where aviation is headed. As one of the largest business jet orders in private aviation history, this marks a turning point in the industry’s movement toward sustainable and efficient air travel.”

Beyond the aircraft order, the agreement allows Flexjet’s maintenance division to become an Otto authorized service center.
