Lufthansa Opens Renovated Lounge at Heathrow Airport

Lufthansa's newly enhanced lounge at London Heathrow Airport offers improved facilities starting January 21, 2025.

On January 21, 2025, Lufthansa will re-launch its new and upgraded passenger lounge at London Heathrow Airport, located in Terminal 2. This lounge, which had been closed for renovations since October 2024, promises an elevated travel experience for passengers.

The refurbished lounge features a modern design, with significant enhancements made to flooring, lighting, and furniture. Workspaces have also been redesigned, incorporating chain curtains for improved privacy. Notable updates in the Business area include two private phone booths with enhanced acoustic wall panels. The Senator section presents redesigned workspaces and enhanced seating, integrating local design elements.

Lounge Overview

Sven Thaler, Senior Director Sales Northern Europe, shared that, “We are delighted to reopen our refurbished lounge conveniently located right after the security checkpoint. As the second largest airline group at Heathrow with over 360 weekly Lufthansa Group flights, we are committed to enhancing our customer experience and maintaining our presence at Terminal 2.”

The lounge will be open daily from 04:15 – 22:00, accommodating up to 350 guests across a spacious 1,600 square meters, marking it as the largest Lufthansa lounge outside Germany in terms of both capacity and size. Guests can enjoy a mix of work and relaxation, supported by Lufthansa staff and a variety of amenities, including a buffet, complimentary newspapers, Wi-Fi, and panoramic runway views.
