JetBlue Partners with TAP Air Portugal for Enhanced Loyalty Benefits
JetBlue introduces a new reciprocal loyalty partnership with TAP Air Portugal, enhancing benefits for flyers.
JetBlue’s elite flyers will now be able to enjoy their benefits with a new international carrier: TAP Air Portugal.
JetBlue TrueBlue Mosaic flyers will now get their status recognized when flying to Europe thanks to a new partnership.
The New York-based carrier announced a reciprocal loyalty partnership with TAP Air Portugal.
Benefits Include Reciprocal Status, Points Earning on Both Airlines
The agreement is an extension of their current partnership. Through the partnership, all TrueBlue members can earn points in the JetBlue program when flying TAP Air Portugal, while TAP Miles&Go flyers can earn their miles on JetBlue flights.
Moreover, elites in each program will be able to take advantage of their status across both airlines. The partnership is a first for JetBlue, marking the first time flyers have been able to redeem TrueBlue points for flights on one of the carrier’s European airline partners.
“We continue to look for more ways to reward our customers and provide them with the high-value travel experiences and point-earning opportunities they love from JetBlue,” said Chris Buckner, vice president of loyalty and partnerships, JetBlue. “This partnership expansion provides both TrueBlue and TAP Miles&Go members more ways to earn and redeem on travel, more options to tailor their travel journey, and makes exploring both networks even more rewarding.”
The partnership comes as JetBlue looks towards attracting high value flyers with a more robust international travel footprint and improved amenities. In addition to seeking new partnership opportunities with domestic and international carriers, the airline announced they will launch their first airline lounges in 2025 in Boston and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).
