Thailand's Tourism Authority Appoints Four New Deputy Governors

The Tourism Authority of Thailand has announced the appointment of four new deputy governors as part of its organizational restructuring to strengthen leadership in strategic areas.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has recently announced the appointment of four new deputy governors as part of its annual organizational restructuring. This change aims to enhance leadership across key strategic areas.

In doing so, TAT is reinforcing its commitment to advancing its long-term tourism vision under a framework led by current governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool and supported by eight deputy governors who oversee administration, policy, product development, marketing, and innovation.

Kiatphaibool commented: “This new leadership structure will bolster TAT’s capacity to implement the ‘New Thailand Vision 2026’, ensuring our tourism growth is innovative, inclusive, and sustainable.”

Meet the New Deputy Governors

  • Akkarawit Taphasit has been promoted to Deputy Governor for Administration, having previously served as Executive Director of the Tourism Investment Promotion Department.
  • Chuwit Sirivajjakul steps into the role of Deputy Governor for Policy and Planning after his tenure as Executive Director for the East Asia Region.
  • Nat Kruthasoot has been named Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Business, previously holding the position of Executive Director of the Events Department.
  • Chiravadee Khunsub becomes the Deputy Governor for International Marketing in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas, an official title for a position she has held since April 2025.

These appointments strengthen the TAT leadership team that includes deputy governors for various sectors, enhancing the organization’s strategic approach to tourism.
