The Costa del Sol Elegance Contest is set to take place from October 2 to 4 in Marbella, Mijas, and Malaga. This prestigious automotive event will feature over 150 luxury sports cars, historic supercars, and hypercars. The upcoming edition aims to elevate the standards of exclusivity and experience for luxury car enthusiasts.

Recognized as one of Spain’s premier car shows, the event will showcase its latest creative vision while traversing some iconic locations along the Costa del Sol. Since its inception in 2017, this contest has consistently gathered a curated collection of exceptional automobiles, with participation from collectors across Europe, the United States, and the Middle East. Its growing fame can be attributed to the accompanying activities that have turned the event into a hallmark of luxury and automotive collecting.

The new phase is spearheaded by Franziska and Gregor Piëch, alongside the team at Cavën, honoring automotive excellence in an exclusive setting. “With great enthusiasm, we are launching a new era for the Costa del Sol Elegance Contest: something extraordinary is about to happen. This contest is more than just a display of unique cars; it encapsulates a lifestyle blending design, history, engineering, and the timeless thrill of driving,” states Bastian Metzger, the contest’s director. The organization has established a rigorous application filter to maintain the highest standards of exclusivity.

Participation is limited to historical supercars, current supercars, and hypercars, distinguished by their design, elegance, and engineering; each is a true gem with extremely limited production and often one-off units.

This year’s event will be centered in Marbella. On the first day, attendees will enjoy an elite automotive evening at Magna Golf. In the subsequent days, owners will drive along some of the most spectacular routes in the region with stops in Málaga and Mijas. A private track day is also planned at the Ascari Circuit, along with exclusive experiences in Marbella. The event will conclude with the Elegance Contest, split into two categories: one for historic vehicles and supercars, and another for hypercars. An international jury will assess each vehicle based on design, performance, history, engineering, and uniqueness across up to eight categories. The final night will feature a Gala Dinner where awards for hypercars will be distributed, alongside fundraising efforts for charitable initiatives in the region. The entire event will be conducted in a strictly private and exclusive format, accessible only by invitation.

The Costa del Sol Elegance Contest enjoys support from the municipalities of Marbella, Málaga, and Mijas, solidifying public-private partnerships that have enhanced the region’s status as a luxury international destination.
