The Philippine Travel Exchange (PHITEX) and MICECONnect 2025 exceeded their sales lead expectations of PHP596.2 million, drawing significant international participation.
The Philippine Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) has announced that its two leading travel trade events generated over PHP1 billion in confirmed sales leads.
On September 19, the TPB reported that the Philippine Travel Exchange (PHITEX) and MICECONnect 2025 both exceeded their target of PHP596.2 million.
Held jointly on September 10, these events attracted 147 Philippine sellers and 114 foreign buyers from key markets in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sector.
This year’s showcase included three days of Travel Exchange (TRAVEX) B2B sessions and networking opportunities.
TPB stated that this success reinforces the Philippines’ standing as a premier destination for global events.
Maria Margarita Nograles noted:
“PHITEX + MICECONnect 2025 showcased the best of the Philippines to a global audience while forging connections that translate into real opportunities for our local stakeholders. This event reaffirms our commitment to collaboration, sustainability, and inclusivity, ensuring that tourism growth uplifts communities across the nation and contributes to the country’s economic and cultural strength.”
In total, delegates engaged in over 3,000 B2B meetings, with post-event tours conducted in Cebu, Bohol, Davao, and Clark to demonstrate the Philippines’ readiness to host international events.
