The Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, successfully conducted its exclusive Experience Goa Roadshow at the City Palace in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on September 15, 2025. This event highlighted Goa’s initiative to promote itself as a dynamic, diverse, and environmentally sustainable destination beyond its beaches.

In his address at the event, Rohan A. Khaunte, the Minister for Tourism, stated, “Goa continues to evolve as a destination that celebrates diversity, inclusivity, and sustainability. Our roadshow in Tashkent has opened new avenues for collaboration and connectivity with the Uzbek travel trade. We are excited to welcome more travelers from Uzbekistan to experience Goa’s heritage, festivals, wellness, and adventure offerings.”

Kedar Naik, Director of Tourism, added, “The Tashkent Roadshow has reinforced Goa’s image as a year-round destination offering authentic and memorable experiences. Our engagement with Uzbekistan’s travel trade has paved the way for future partnerships and growth.”

The roadshow witnessed enthusiastic participation from prominent tour operators, travel agents, airline partners, and dignitaries from Uzbekistan who engaged one-on-one with Goa Tourism representatives to explore collaboration opportunities. The showcase emphasized Goa’s diverse offerings including heritage, culture, wellness, adventure, and festivals, alongside the state’s flagship initiatives, Goa Beyond Beaches and Regenerative Tourism.

This successful roadshow demonstrated Goa Tourism’s commitment to expanding its international presence while promoting sustainable, community-focused tourism that benefits travelers and local stakeholders alike.
