Saudi Summer 2025 Records a 26% Increase in Tourist Arrivals

Saudi Arabia sees a significant surge in tourist numbers, with over 32 million visitors recorded this summer.

Saudi Arabia has achieved notable milestones this summer, welcoming over 32 million domestic and international tourists, marking a 26% increase year-on-year from 2024. In terms of spending, visitors contributed a staggering SR53.2 billion (approximately $14.2 billion), reflecting a 15% rise from the previous year.

Spotlight on Aseer

The stunning region of Aseer has been particularly popular, with visitor numbers showcasing an incredible 49% growth. Known for its cooler climates and vast juniper forests, Aseer offers a perfect summer destination for nature enthusiasts and hikers. Key attractions range from Al Soudah, the highest mountain in Saudi Arabia at 3,000 meters, to the UNESCO-listed village of Rijal Almaa.

Looking Ahead

This upward trend is set to continue as Saudi Arabia gears up for an exciting winter season. The global campaign featuring Cristiano Ronaldo has been launched alongside the Unreal Events Calendar, establishing Saudi Arabia as a central hub for sports and entertainment.

The winter promises a blend of experiences that you won’t want to miss, including the WTA Finals featuring top female tennis players, the Riyadh Comedy Festival, and the AlUla Wellness Festival, which emphasizes holistic practices in an exquisite desert setting.
