Korean Air’s mobile app has been enhanced to include a feature that displays real-time updates from Incheon International Airport. This innovation, supported by the airport’s public open application programming interface (OpenAI), provides passengers with crucial information on airport operations.

In an announcement made on September 12, Korean Air representatives stated: “The Incheon Airport Guide feature enhances passenger convenience by allowing tailored airport information to be accessed directly from our mobile app.” They noted the airline’s commitment to fostering digital solutions that improve travel experiences.

What can the app do for you?

Through the real-time monitoring feature, users can track:

• Congestion at check-in counters
• Security and immigration checkpoint statuses
• Estimated travel durations from arrival to the boarding gate

Additionally, the app provides information on parking availability across different facilities, including the locations of Korean Air lounges along with their occupancy levels. Users can also share estimated arrival times and exit details via SMS or messaging applications with those awaiting them at the airport.
