A World for Travel Summit Set to Take Place in Paris This October
The upcoming summit will address significant global issues through a series of high-level discussions and actionable sessions.
This October, the world’s leaders will gather in Paris for the sixth A World for Travel Summit. The three-day event, from October 29 to 31, aims to guide the global tourism sector through complex challenges, featuring high-level dialogues and practical sessions tackling current global issues.
The summit will delve into topics like climate resilience and digital transformation while fostering necessary partnerships to propel the industry forward.
According to secretary-general Christian Delom: “These summits bring together diverse perspectives, from policymakers to entrepreneurs, to foster collaboration and accelerate progress. If we are to make tourism truly sustainable, we must combine innovation, accountability, and global cooperation.”
Among the 80 international speakers, Gabriel Attal, a former Prime Minister of France and current member of Parliament, will deliver a keynote titled Will Europe Step Up, while Aziz Abu Sarah, CEO of MEJDI Tours, will discuss tourism’s potential as a tool for reconciliation in divided regions.
The event is crucial for the travel and tourism sector, a powerhouse that constitutes over 10% of global GDP. As the industry faces challenges from climate change and shifting consumer expectations, this summit will gather key executives from companies like Accenture and Air France to discuss actionable strategies for sustainable growth. A gala dinner on the Seine will celebrate achievements and the urgency of continued efforts in the industry.
