Israel’s tourism sector has recently shown a remarkable uptick, with 118,200 visitors arriving during August 2025. This marking represents a 72% increase compared to 68,800 visitors recorded during the same month last year.
travelers from the UK constituted about 10% of this influx, with over 66,000 arrivals noted year-to-date.
Michael Ben Baruch, the Israel Ministry of Tourism’s director for the UK, stated:
“These figures represent amazing resilience and continued confidence in Israel as a destination. The positive spike in traveler numbers from the UK and the rest of the world in August signals that we are moving in the right direction, demonstrating the enduring appeal of Israel for visitors from across the world.”
The first eight months of 2025 saw a total of 814,000 tourist entries globally, showcasing a 21% rise from 672,400 visitors during the corresponding period in 2024. While this increase reflects ongoing recovery, it still falls short of the nearly two million entries recorded in the same timeframe in 2023.
Additionally, it was announced that British Airways plans to resume flights to Israel, starting bookings from October 26 this year, marking a noteworthy return of travel to the region.
