
Scoot Expands Flight Options to Chiang Rai, Haneda, and Okinawa
Scoot has announced the introduction of new routes to Chiang Rai, Tokyo (Haneda), and Okinawa, set to begin between December 2025 and March 2026.
Expansion of Flight Routes
Singapore Airlines’ low-cost carrier Scoot announced the launch of new flight services to Chiang Rai in Thailand, and Okinawa and Tokyo by way of Haneda on August 28, 2025.
These flights will commence progressively between December 2025 and March 2026, providing more options for travelers planning their year-end and New Year journeys.
Leslie Thng, CEO of Scoot, remarked on the expansion: “We are thrilled to expand Scoot’s network in Asia with new routes to Chiang Rai, Okinawa and Tokyo (Haneda), offering our customers even more travel options. Furthermore, the increase in services will support stronger demand for air travel during the holiday seasons. We will continue looking for opportunities to connect our customers with new travel experiences and memorable journeys with Scoot.”
Pricing and Booking
One-way economy class fares start from INR 17,500 to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport and Okinawa, and from INR 10,500 to Chiang Rai. Indian travelers can seamlessly explore these destinations via Singapore.
The new flights are available for booking on Scoot’s official website and mobile app and will be rolled out through additional channels progressively.
With the addition of services to Chiang Rai, Okinawa, and Tokyo (Haneda), Scoot plans to operate 111 weekly flights to Thailand and 45 weekly flights to Japan. With these new routes, the airline will serve a total of 76 destinations across 18 countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Europe.
Additional Developments
Besides introducing new destinations, Scoot will also increase flight frequencies to accommodate the anticipated demand for air travel during the upcoming holiday periods.
In Southeast Asia, flights to Bangkok will see an increase from 35 to 39 times weekly starting from August 2025. Additionally, Ipoh will increase services from 17 to 21 times weekly starting November 2025.
In North Asia, services to Tokyo (Narita) via Taipei will rise to 14 times weekly from October 2025. Furthermore, frequencies between Singapore and Taipei will increase gradually.
In Europe, flights to Vienna will rise from three to four times weekly starting March 2026.
