Thailand Unveils Trusted Thailand Stamp to Elevate Global Confidence

The Trusted Thailand stamp aims to enhance the country's international image as a secure and welcoming destination.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) officially introduced the “Trusted Thailand” Stamp on August 27. This initiative is designed to bolster international confidence and promote Thailand’s image as a secure, reliable, and hospitable destination. It assures travelers peace of mind when choosing Thailand while recognizing operators meeting high safety standards.

Vice-minister of tourism and sports, Jakkaphon Tangsutthitham, explained that safety remains the top priority in sustainable tourism policy. He stated, “China is a key source market, and we must preserve trust among Chinese visitors. This launch invites all tourism operators and stakeholders to cooperate in ensuring safe and sustainable tourism growth.”

TAT governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool added, “The Trusted Thailand stamp helps restore traveler confidence and lays a foundation for our tourism industry to meet international safety standards.”

The initiative aligns safety measures with tourism promotion, including improved attraction standards and effective communication strategies. The project will roll out nationwide in October 2025, featuring international publicity efforts to redefine Thailand as a modern and safe travel destination.

As travelers consider safety more than ever, this initiative will especially focus on accommodations, dining, and attractions crucial for Chinese tourists. Assessments for the stamp will be based on safety measures, secure transactions, multilingual communication, and accessible information.

A mini-site will launch in September 2025, providing resources for tourism operators and a directory of certified businesses to assist visitors.
