Lallemand’s leadership is set to enhance the resort’s allure as a prime experiential getaway.
Rosewood Luang Prabang has announced that Jonathan Lallemand is now appointed as its new managing director. In this capacity, he will manage all facets of the resort, including daily operations and guest relations, as well as strategic development, reinforcing the property’s status as a top destination for immersive travel experiences in Laos.
Lallemand expressed excitement about his new role, stating: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Rosewood family and to lead this enchanting property in the city of Luang Prabang. Having spent the majority of my career in Asia, I have a deep appreciation for the region’s rich culture and unparalleled hospitality. Who is Jonathan Lallemand?
Lallemand brings a wealth of experience and a profound understanding of the Asian luxury hospitality sector to the UNESCO World Heritage city. His appointment signifies a new phase for the property, which is recognized for blending French-Lao design as envisioned by Bill Bensley, enhanced by its scenic riverside location and adherence to Rosewood’s hallmark ‘A Sense of Place’ philosophy.
With over twenty years of exceptional experience in hospitality, he joins Rosewood from his latest role as resort manager at Regent Bali Canggu, where he skillfully directed the property’s operations.
From 2018 to 2025, Lallemand held senior positions at IHG Hotels & Resorts, including director of operations and executive assistant manager in Indonesia. Before these leadership positions, he developed a solid foundation in food and beverage operations with Shangri-La and Hilton across notable cities such as Singapore, Bangkok, Manila, and Hanoi. A Belgian native, he began his career in Europe before dedicating his expertise to the Asian market, consistently showcasing a passion for service excellence and team development.
