Azerbaijan Sees Over 20% Increase in Tourists from Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan has entered the top ranks of tourist source markets for Azerbaijan, boosting arrivals significantly.

The State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan reports that the number of tourist arrivals from Kazakhstan is up by 20.6% compared to 2024.

Kazakhstan is now ranked seventh in terms of tourist arrivals, accounting for 4% of total inbound visitors to Azerbaijan. In the initial seven months of the year, Azerbaijan welcomed 1.48 million tourists from 182 countries, reflecting a slight decrease of 1.7% from the previous year’s statistics.

The rise in arrivals from Kazakhstan is attributed to increased interest in Azerbaijan, reinforced by stronger political dialogue, cultural exchanges, and enhanced business relations. Additionally, the facilitation of direct air travel, a simplified visa process, and shared historical and linguistic backgrounds have contributed to this upward trend.
