Cebu Pacific Increases Seating for Domestic Flights

Cebu Pacific expands its domestic seating capacity by utilizing larger aircraft to enhance travel and support tourism in the Philippines.

Philippine low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific announced today, 21st August, that it is doubling the seat capacity for flights via Bohol, Iloilo, and Puerto Princesa.

This will be accomplished using the 459-seater A330neo aircraft over the next several months.

Currently, Cebu Pacific employs A320 and A321 aircraft for these domestic destinations, accommodating up to 180 and 236 seats, respectively.

According to airline president Xander Lao:

“By increasing capacity to key domestic routes, we not only make travel more accessible but also help drive tourism and stimulate economic activity, creating opportunities for local communities and further supporting the growth of Philippine tourism.”

Lao explained that using the widebody A330neo allows the carrier to offer more seats, lower fares, and a more comfortable travel experience.

Cebu Pacific’s A330neo will be used for flights between Manila to Iloilo seven times weekly starting 26th October, and between Manila and Puerto Princesa, four times weekly starting 2nd November. The larger aircraft will also support flights between Manila and Bohol, seven times weekly from 16th November, addressing the growing demand for air travel ahead of the holiday season.

At present, Cebu Pacific is one of the largest operators of the A330neo aircraft in the Asia-Pacific region, currently having 12 of this model in its fleet. The A330neo provides the airline flexibility to serve regional, long-haul, and busy domestic routes while maintaining cost-efficiency.
