Vietjet is building a state-of-the-art Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Centre in Long Thanh International Airport, aimed at enhancing Vietnam's aviation capabilities.
Vietjet formally broke ground for its state-of-the-art Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Centre at Long Thanh International Airport.
Long Thanh is slated to become Vietnam’s most advanced and largest airport upon completion, positioning Vietjet’s new facility prominently. The project is one of 80 landmark initiatives inaugurated ahead of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day on September 2nd.
With nearly US$100 million in investment, the project involves the development of Hangars 3 and 4 at the under-construction airport. The new center will have synchronized, international-standard infrastructure capable of servicing up to ten aircraft simultaneously.
In addition to supporting the maintenance needs of Vietjet’s growing fleet, the facility will also cater to both domestic and international airlines, thereby enhancing Vietnam’s aviation capabilities and ensuring future operations at Long Thanh. The launch of this center underscores Vietjet’s long-term strategic vision and commitment to sustainable, future-focused investments, highlighting the role of private enterprises in advancing aviation infrastructure and driving national development in an increasingly globalized landscape.
