Dubai Airport Anticipates a Record August with 3.6 Million Passengers Expected

Dubai International Airport is preparing for one of its busiest periods in 2025, anticipating over 3.6 million travelers during mid-August.

Dubai International Airport is preparing for one of its busiest periods in 2025, expecting over 3.6 million travelers from August 13 to 25, coinciding with the end of summer vacations and the start of the new school year. An estimated 280,000 passengers per day will pass through, with Friday, August 15, expected to peak at over 290,000 travelers.

This surge in traffic follows a historically strong first half of the year for Dubai’s tourism and aviation sectors, welcoming 9.88 million international visitors and managing over 46 million passengers, making it the world’s busiest international airport.

Dubai Airports highlights its collaboration with the oneDXB community, comprising airlines, authorities, and public and private sector partners, to ensure a seamless and stress-free travel experience.

Practical Tips for Travelers

  • Preparation: Keep your passport, boarding pass, and visa handy for quicker processing.
  • Enjoy amenities: Take advantage of VIP lounges, duty-free shops, dining options, and other airport facilities.
  • Plan transportation: Use public transport (Dubai Metro, terminals 1 and 3) or alternatives like taxis, Uber, Careem, or car rental.
  • Accessibility: Signposted routes, discreet assistance with sunflower lanyards, and assistance rooms for travelers with disabilities in terminal 2.
