Virgin Atlantic is ramping up its efforts for premium winter holidays with notable modifications to its services, aiming to accommodate increased bookings this year.
The airline has intensified its flight offerings to Dubai and Cape Town, alongside a highly awaited return to Cancun, Mexico.
Dubai Receives a 50% Seat Capacity Increase
This winter, Virgin Atlantic is introducing its most robust winter schedule to Dubai, enhancing its seat capacity by 50% compared to last year, backed by a 72% demand growth compared to 2024. The Airbus A350, the largest in Virgin’s fleet, will provide a more spacious and elegant environment across Upper Class, Premium, and Economy classes, along with The Booth, the airline’s unique inflight social area. Diverse attractions await in Dubai, from luxury resorts and tall skyscrapers to desert adventures and top-notch shopping.
Cancun’s Comeback
After a six-year absence, flights to the lively beach destination of Cancun will be reintroduced in October. Virgin Atlantic will operate direct flights from London Heathrow, transporting travelers to Mexico’s Caribbean coast aboard the Boeing 787-9, maintaining the airline’s renowned service style.
Cape Town’s Seat Capacity Grows by 15%
With heightened interest in exploring South Africa’s rich culture, culinary delights, and scenic views, Virgin Atlantic plans to boost its Cape Town services by nearly 15% this winter, after experiencing a 38% booking increase compared to 2024. The airline is also extending the travel season from October through April, enabling more opportunities for exploring Cape Town, from safari excursions to winery visits and picturesque sunsets at Table Mountain.
