Emirates has confirmed that it will begin operating a third daily flight to Mauritius starting from December 1. This additional service will be run using a Boeing 777 aircraft and is designated as EK709/710.
The new flight will complement the existing schedule and will help Emirates customers planning trips to this favored destination from its extensive network of over 140 destinations worldwide. Currently, Emirates operates two daily flights to Mauritius, utilizing its flagship A380 aircraft under the codes EK701/702 and EK703/704.
This new daily flight, initiated through a codeshare partnership with Air Mauritius, aims to provide optimal flight schedules to improve travel itineraries and ensure smooth connectivity for passengers from regions including the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas. Furthermore, the new addition will also facilitate connections to markets in the Far East, where Emirates plans to actively promote Mauritius to travelers from Japan, China, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.
Passengers can reserve seats in First Class, Business Class, or Economy Class on the EK709 service, which is scheduled to leave Dubai at 06:55 AM and reach Mauritius at 1:40 PM local time. The return flight, EK710, will depart from Mauritius at 6:30 PM and arrive in Dubai at 1:10 AM the following day.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, expressed gratitude to the Mauritian authorities for enabling this additional service. Kazim remarked: “We have been proudly serving Mauritius since 2002, and our double daily A380 services have been highly successful, significantly boosting the nation’s tourism. This new service on our Boeing 777 will increase our capacity on the route by over 30% and provide more options for leisure and business travelers to connect seamlessly to flights.”
Kazim also mentioned that they have once again solidified their codeshare agreement with Air Mauritius, indicating a shared commitment to enhancing tourist visits to Mauritius and supporting the operations of the national carrier.
