Amex GBT Unveils Integrated Guest Travel and Expense Solution
The new platform by Amex GBT aims to streamline guest travel and expenses management for non-employees.
American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) has launched a new platform to manage end-to-end guest travel and expense (T&E).
The Guest T&E Platform addresses common challenges faced by businesses in managing travel and expenses for non-employees. It is designed to cater to varying needs, including recruitment, internships, and independent contractors. An internal survey conducted with 100 Amex GBT client managers revealed that 87% of them identified the lack of a streamlined process for managing non-employee travel and expenses.
“For many companies, the guest travel and expense experience is complex and messy, often missing out on the opportunity to make a strong first impression,” said Evan Konwiser, Chief Product and Strategy Officer at Amex GBT. “Our new Guest T&E platform simplifies budgets and bookings while seamlessly integrating expenses and reconciliation through secure technology.”
Event organizers and managers can now efficiently create events, invite guests, set travel parameters, and monitor expenses in real-time. Travelers benefit from a streamlined experience allowing them to securely complete their profiles, self-book through Amex GBT’s marketplace, and access 24/7 travel support.
Key Features of the Platform:
- Effortless guest traveler booking and event creation
- Secure profile completion and self-booking by travelers
- 24/7 travel support
- AI-powered technology for receipt scanning and expense justification
- Near real-time expense workflows, integrating with finance systems
- Issuance of virtual cards for travel and on-trip expenses, maintaining budget limits set by the requestor.
The platform is available to users of Amex GBT’s Neo and Egencia solutions and supported at U.S. points of sale.
