
Gulf Air Launches Direct Flights to New York
Starting October 1st, Gulf Air will begin operating three weekly direct flights to JFK Airport.
Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, has announced the commencement of its direct flights to New York (JFK) starting on October 1. The airline will operate three weekly flights with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
Jeffrey Goh, the Chief Executive of Gulf Air Group, expressed excitement about re-entering the North American market: “We are excited to announce the launch of our direct flights to New York’s JFK and our return to the North American market. This service aligns with Gulf Air’s strategy of calibrated expansion and serving strategic markets, providing passengers with greater choice and convenience for travel, through Bahrain International Airport, between Bahrain and North America and beyond, supporting the connectivity strategy of the kingdom.”
Initially, flights will be operated from Terminal One at JFK, with plans to move to JFK’s New Terminal One in June 2026, ensuring a seamless travel experience aligned with Gulf Air’s premium service standards.
