Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) capped off 2024 on a high note, solidifying its role as a cornerstone of India’s air freight network by achieving significant milestones in cargo operations.

Notable Achievements

  • International cargo volumes rose by an impressive 17%.
  • Highest-ever daily tonnage of 204 MT was recorded.
  • Set a milestone by handling 60,659 metric tonnes (MT) of international cargo in March 2024.

CSMIA expanded its global connectivity, serving 687 international destinations with new additions including Tripoli, Khabarovsk, and Damascus. The airport maintained a balanced cargo volume split of 55% exports and 45% imports, indicating a healthy operational dynamic.

  • Growth of 53% year-on-year in international shipments during the festive season.
