flydubai’s CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith received the Executive Leadership for the Middle East & Africa award at the 2025 Airline Strategy Awards, held in London on July 15.
This recognition celebrates his strategic leadership and significant contributions to aviation in the Middle East and Africa.

Al Ghaith noted:

Since flydubai’s inception in 2008, Al Ghaith has played a crucial role in its development into a leading regional airline. Under his leadership, flydubai now offers over 135 destinations in 58 countries, significantly improving access to underserved markets.

Al Ghaith remarked:
“Our mission has been to enable free flows of trade and tourism and to open up underserved markets. We continue to reach new heights across our fleet, network, workforce, and performance…”

The previous year, flydubai reported a record profit of AED 2.5 billion, with revenues of AED 12.8 billion, and an increase in passenger numbers to 15.4 million—an 11% rise compared to 2023.
