
Aloft Surabaya Pakuwon City Set to Open in August 2025
The new Aloft Hotels brand makes its debut in Surabaya, Indonesia, marking a significant milestone for Marriott International.
Indonesia’s Pakuwon Group and Marriott International have jointly announced the upcoming opening of Aloft Surabaya Pakuwon City on August 22. This new establishment marks a significant milestone as it is the first Aloft Hotels brand in Surabaya, and the first Marriott-branded hotel in the eastern part of the city.
The hotel is strategically located above a mixed-use development that spans 1.1 hectares, with a project valued at IDR 1.2 trillion. According to Reza Aryawarman, the multi-property general manager of Pakuwon Portfolio Hotels, “This hotel represents more than just a new address; it’s an experience hub crafted for the next generation of travelers. Aloft brings something exciting to the table, a hotel that feels alive, connected, and unapologetically different.”
This opening aligns with Pakuwon’s commitment to expanding lifestyle-led hospitality, promising globally inspired experiences for Indonesia’s urban centers. It follows successful hotel developments like The Westin Surabaya and Sheraton Surabaya Hotel & Towers.
Aloft Surabaya Pakuwon City will feature 233 design-forward rooms aimed at modern travelers, including business professionals and creative weekend explorers. The hotel promises vibrant rooms with playful wall art and ample natural light.
