Art the Clown Returns in a Terrifying New Haunted House Experience at Universal Orlando and Hollywood
The twisted world of Art the Clown comes alive in this year’s all-new “Terrifier” haunted house inspired by the slasher film franchise that has consistently terrorized audiences since 2008. The torment begins at Universal Orlando Resort on Friday, August 29, and at Universal Studios Hollywood on Thursday, September 4.
Created by Damien Leone and produced by Phil Falcone in collaboration with Dark Age Cinema Productions, Terrifier has introduced a new slasher series featuring Art the Clown, a supernatural menace who wreaks havoc in the fictional town of Miles County, New York, during Halloween, torturing victims in gruesomely imaginative ways. The franchise comprises three unsettlingly gory films, with a fourth one currently in the works, along with this year’s Halloween Horror Nights haunted house.
During Halloween Horror Nights, attendees will encounter extreme horror as they attempt to evade becoming the next victims of Art the Clown. The “Terrifier” haunted house is an incredibly horrifying experience, drawing guests into the grotesque Funhouse that was first highlighted in Terrifier 2. Visitors will be subjected to the terrifying sights, sounds, and horrific decorations of Art’s violent acts, openly displayed for all to see. As fans navigate through cramped corridors, they will meet familiar characters, including Vicky and the Little Pale Girl, as well as witness iconic fatalities from the franchise. The atmosphere is chaotic at the Clown Café, disturbing in a revolting bathroom, and dangerously festive in a Christmas-themed nightmare. Guests must find a way out of Art’s demented realm or risk becoming part of his next gruesome exhibit.
Fans inspired by the “Terrifier” haunted house can acquire new, limited-edition merchandise, including a t-shirt and bag available now at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood, as well as on Shop.UniversalOrlando.com, starting July 11. Additionally, a new piece of collectible artwork for “Terrifier” will be available, designed to fit into the collectible Halloween Horror Nights frame. Enthusiasts can gather this piece along with others from this year’s terrifying lineup to complete a bloody mural.
More details regarding upcoming haunted houses at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort will be disclosed shortly. Tickets for the Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort can be obtained through various travel partners such as AttractionTickets.com, Floridatix, Orlando Attraction Tickets, Travel Republic, TUI, and Virgin Atlantic Holidays.
