Rosewood Doha Opens, Offering a Unique Blend of Luxury and Culture
The new Rosewood Doha hotel brings a mix of architectural brilliance and cultural experience to Qatar's hospitality landscape.
Rosewood Doha has opened this week in Lusail, marking a significant addition to Qatar’s luxury hospitality sector. This property features a unique lifestyle concept that combines immersive experiences with emotional depth, boasting 155 rooms, 162 apartments, and 276 residences. It emphasizes a sense of elegance inspired by Qatari identity and cultural heritage.
The architecture of Rosewood Doha incorporates natural elements reminiscent of coral formations, as well as the traditions of pearl diving, reflecting Qatar’s intrinsic bond with nature. This connection extends from the building’s exterior to its thoughtfully designed interiors. Together with local artists, the hotel showcases artworks that narrate Doha’s evolving identity, enriching the visitor experience with cultural narratives.
Culinary Delights
The hotel offers an array of exceptional dining options. Mila, a 24-hour Levantine brasserie, elevates Middle Eastern comfort food. Asaya Kitchen adopts a wellness-focused Mediterranean approach, emphasizing seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Koo Madame pays homage to 1920s Shanghai with vibrant Chinese cuisine, while Stoke & Stoker and Sikar provide upscale environments for cocktails and cigars. The Butterfly Room is designed for relaxed social gatherings, whether it be lunch or afternoon tea.
Wellness and Events
At the core of Rosewood Doha lies Asaya, the brand’s first social wellness club in Qatar. It comprises over 3,400 square meters of event space, including a grand ballroom and tailored studios, merging Qatari elegance with modern functionality.
Juan Samso, the Managing Director, highlighted that “With Rosewood Doha, we had an extraordinary opportunity to express not just the future of luxury hospitality, but the emotional texture of Qatar. Every space was designed to feel purposeful and personal.” This new establishment aims to be more than a hotel—it is envisioned as a cultural hub, encapsulating the essence of Doha.
