South Korean Journalists Experience Northern Mindanao's Tourism Potential

A group of South Korean media representatives tours various attractions in Northern Mindanao, promoting Philippine tourism.

The Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) is currently hosting ten members of the South Korean media on a familiarisation tour of Northern Mindanao. The tour seeks to promote the southern Philippine region’s diverse tourism destinations and overall potential.

On Thursday, July 3, DOT-Northern Mindanao director Marie Elaine Unchuan advised local media that those participating in the five-day tour included a mix of journalists and independent content creators.

A Jam-Packed Itinerary

The delegation paid a courtesy call to the DOT regional office and received a briefing regarding their itinerary. Participants will visit historical landmarks and waterfalls in Iligan City, tour through a mangrove forest in Tubajon, Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental, and engage in various water activities like helmet diving, sea walking, snorkeling, and jet skiing.

Unchuan added that the group will also visit the Divine Mercy Shrine, experience white-water rafting in Cagayan de Oro, tour the Del Monte plantation in Bukidnon, and enjoy sites at the Dahilayan Adventure Park, Pueblo de Oro Golf Course, and Route 955 in Claveria.
