OYO Collaborates with Goa's Tourism Department to Launch Accelerator Initiative

OYO has teamed up with the Goa Tourism Department to roll out an Accelerator Program aimed at uplifting small hoteliers in the state, featuring financial aid and mentorship.

OYO has partnered with the Goa Tourism Department to initiate an Accelerator Program aimed at boosting small, first-time hoteliers throughout the state, facilitating their growth and ensuring sustainable profitability.

Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte presided over a special ceremony in Panaji, where he distributed INR 25 lakhs in cheques to five recipients of the program.

OYO plans to establish over 500 hotels and create upwards of 5,000 job opportunities within one year through this strategic collaboration. The properties will span all significant regions of Goa—north, central, and south.

The Accelerator Program bolsters first-generation hoteliers by providing them with resources such as mentorship, technological support, and financial backing. This initiative aligns with OYO’s objectives to expand its premium hotel offering under brands like Townhouse Oak and Collection O.

Tourism Minister Khaunte remarked, “The Accelerator Program not only aligns with our vision of sustainable tourism but also provides a platform for small and mid-sized businesses to scale up their operations through strategic mentorship, technology integration, and financial support”.

Varun Jain expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, “We are excited to partner with Goa’s aspiring hoteliers, helping them realize their business potential… These efforts have significantly increased occupancy rates and profitability for participating partners, while also enhancing the overall experience for the guests”.

One beneficiary, Roshan Oscar Abraam Lorena, shared his gratitude, emphasizing how this initiative has empowered him to expand his hotel business sustainably while enhancing guest experience.
