Hôtel de Sers in Paris Reopens Following Extensive Renovation

The historic Hôtel de Sers has reopened after a major renovation that blends its 19th-century charm with modern luxury.

Hôtel de Sers, part of the B Signature Hotels & Resorts collection, located in the famous Triangle d’Or, has reopened its doors following a comprehensive renovation that honors its 19th-century heritage while embracing a refined, contemporary vision of hospitality.

Once the private mansion of Henri-Léopold Charles, Marquis de Sers, the hotel retains the architectural splendor of its Haussmannian origins. Key period features have been meticulously preserved, including the carriage entrance, a monumental marble staircase with wrought-iron detailing, and the original salon de réception with ornate moldings and soaring ceilings. The renovation, led by interior architect Pascal Allaman in collaboration with owners Anne and Agathe Jousse, focused on enhancing the property’s historical identity with a fresh, modern sensibility.

Hôtel de Sers’ atmosphere of quiet sophistication sets the tone, where the interplay of light and material is central to the design narrative. Soft, golden herringbone parquet floors and restored wood paneling create a warm, tactile foundation, while custom lighting subtly highlights the architectural detailing throughout the hotel. The 45 rooms and seven suites are decorated in a palette of neutrals featuring dove grey, sand, pearl, and cream, accented with exotic-print textiles, vintage objets d’art, and brushed brass fittings. Velvet-upholstered headboards, fluted wall panels, and sculptural furnishings offer a boudoir-inspired comfort that evokes both 1930s glamour and contemporary elegance. Carefully curated wall coverings and geometric carpets contribute texture and rhythm, while tall windows let in abundant natural light, enhancing the hotel’s serene ambiance.

On the top floor, three Signature Suites embody the new vision of the property. Among them, the Eiffel Suite features uninterrupted views of the Eiffel Tower, and the Panoramic Suite offers a spacious, open-plan layout. The Marquis’ Apartment resembles a large Parisian family home, complete with light oak flooring and iridescent beige curtains.

Outdoor space is also emphasized, with many rooms now boasting private terraces, some offering stunning views of the Eiffel Tower. These extensions invite guests to relish al fresco breakfast or sunset aperitifs.

Throughout the hotel, design continuity and visual harmony have been prioritized. A new wellness area further enhances guests’ experiences, complete with a massage room, a traditional hammam, sauna, and fitness studio.

From public spaces to private rooms, Hôtel de Sers has been thoughtfully curated to reflect the elegance of its heritage, while offering a calm sanctuary in the bustling heart of Paris. Room rates at Hôtel de Sers start at 490 € per night.
