Taiwan Showcases Its Attractions to British Travel Professionals

Taiwan Tourism organized an event in London to highlight the country's diverse offerings for UK travelers.

Taiwan Tourism recently took over London’s iconic venue Outernet London on Tottenham Court Road to demonstrate the various attractions it offers to UK travelers.

Event Highlights
Trade guests were enveloped in the experiences of Taiwan during the event that occurred on Thursday, June 12. Inspired by the theme Taiwan: Waves of Wonder, the event showcased the stunning natural beauty and vibrant culture of the island, with food offerings that included delicacies from night markets and Taiwanese-flavored cocktails.

A Resounding Success
Linda Lin, director of the Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA)’s London office, stated: “The Outernet event was a resounding success and launched a two-day takeover of Taiwan, showcasing the spirit of our people and the beauty of our landscape.”
Lin emphasized that Taiwan is a vibrant destination that effortlessly combines rich cultural heritage with striking natural beauty and modern amenities. Visitors can explore bustling night markets, ancient temples, lush mountains, hot springs, and scenic coastlines.

Lin further remarked: “Visitors can engage in authentic cultural experiences, such as calligraphy workshops and traditional tea ceremonies, while enjoying high-quality yet affordable accommodations and world-class dining.”

Enticing Enthusiasm
Taiwanese ambassador to the UK, Vincent Ching-Hsiang Yao, expressed his pride in the UK’s embracing of Taiwanese culture, noting that the enthusiastic support by the travel trade showcases the strong relationship between Taiwan and the UK travel industry.

At the event, Wendy Wu Tours offered a holiday prize to guests, with members of the public also having the chance to enter during daytime activities on these two days. Sara Dolan of Wendy Wu Tours stated: “Taiwan has incredible offerings, which is why we were excited to participate in this pop-up event. With creative exposure like this, I’m confident that more UK travelers will discover why Taiwan is such a unique and enchanting destination.”
