SIHOT and Dingus Revolutionize Hotel Reservations for Tour Operators

A groundbreaking partnership between SIHOT and Dingus aims to automate hotel reservations for tour operators, enhancing efficiency and control for hotels.

Enhanced interface between SIHOT.PMS and Dingus channel manager automates availability synchronization and deposit collection to streamline hotel operations and improve time management.

SIHOT, a premier hotel management system, has enhanced its integration with Dingus, a Spanish hotel distribution platform, facilitating real-time reservation updates for contracted tour operators through the SIHOT.PMS - Property Management System.

As a notable channel manager for holiday resorts in Spain and the Caribbean, Dingus assists these properties with room and rate distribution to key tour operators, something typically not available through regular channel managers. The new interface enables real-time synchronization between Dingus and SIHOT to ensure accurate availability.

Hotels can download reservation data that links automatically with existing tour operator contracts to effectively manage allocated allotments in SIHOT.PMS. This advancement grants hotels enhanced control over inventory and availability, allowing them to manage negotiated contracts more effectively.

By linking with contracted allowances, the PMS can determine if a reservation is within specific allotments according to assigned contract numbers or if it should be drawn from general availability. This improves inventory management, reducing overbooking.

Additionally, hotels can manage prepayments and reservation deposits via the Dingus extranet, recorded in the SIHOT.PMS reservation accounts. This upgrade ensures compliance with Spanish law, as the SIHOT.PMS can automatically create and send customer invoices that include guest I.D information when provided by the external channel.

Further, additional items purchased through Dingus channels are synced to SIHOT, which fully supports Non-Refundable rates.

Carsten Wernet, Chief Executive of SIHOT, remarked: “Following high demand from our hotel clients and to address the challenges of managing negotiated contracts for tour operator reservations, we collaborated closely with Dingus to enhance reservation and payment data sharing. This automation reduces the manual handling of tour operator reservations, saving hotels precious time, increasing response speeds, and improving data quality as well as invoicing procedures.”

Milena Galindo, VP Strategy & Partnerships at DINGUS, added: “With increasing pressures on hotels to reduce operational costs and streamline processes, and to maintain clear records of reservations and payments to meet compliance demands, our new partnership with SIHOT empowers hotels with full transparency and control over their distribution strategies with tour operators, maximizing their commercial opportunities in this sector of the travel industry.”

The upgraded interface is now available for all existing SIHOT customers.
