
ITB China officially launched on the evening of May 26 with a welcoming dinner featuring Malaysia as this year’s partner destination. The event will host over 700 exhibitors and 1,500 tourism buyers from 85 nations, reflecting a 30% growth compared to last year.

In his opening, David Ruetz emphasized the need for tourism cooperation to evolve beyond just attracting travelers. He highlighted that today’s tourism requires inclusive options benefiting both visitors and destinations.
Remarks from Tiong King Sing
“We are honoured to showcase Malaysia’s diverse heritage and hospitality,” said Tiong King Sing. He also invited participants to the upcoming Visit Malaysia 2026, showcasing the richness of the country.
