Taiwan Launches New Tourism Service Center in Amsterdam

A new office in Amsterdam aims to assist the increasing number of Dutch travelers visiting Taiwan.

Taiwan has inaugurated a new tourism service center in Amsterdam as of May 15, 2025. This office is designed to facilitate the increase in Dutch travelers visiting Taiwan. It marks the second European tourism office established by the Taiwanese government, following the one launched in Paris last year.

Rising Numbers

Taiwanese officials report a 14% increase in Dutch visitors by the end of Q1 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. Chou Yung-hui, Director-General of the Tourism Administration, stated:

“As Amsterdam is an important transportation and cultural hub, the service center should strengthen Taiwan’s brand image in Europe and deepen links with local consumers, media, and business.”

Chou emphasized the essential role of airlines like China Airlines, EVA Air, and KLM in supporting tourism through direct flights between the two nations.
