IDeaS Expands Rapidly in Greece

IDeaS reports unprecedented growth in Greece, achieving a stunning 426% year-on-year revenue increase.

IDeaS, a SAS company and the leading global provider of hospitality revenue management software and services, has reported exceptional growth in Greece. This rapid expansion results from strategic hotel partnerships and a rising demand for advanced revenue optimization solutions across various property types.

From 2023 to 2024, IDeaS achieved a remarkable 426% year-on-year revenue increase, showcasing its increasing influence in the vibrant southern European hospitality market. During this timeframe, the company secured 27 new deals in Greece.

This upward trend corresponds with Greece’s tourism sector, which welcomed approximately 35.9 million international visitors in 2024, generating €21.7 billion in tourism revenue—surpassing prior records.

In Athens, the average hotel occupancy rate climbed to 78%, alongside an 8.9% increase in the average daily rate (ADR) to €149.26, and an 11.4% rise in revenue per available room (RevPAR) to €116.48.

Michael McCartan, the area vice president for EMEA at IDeaS, stated: “Our performance in Greece has been nothing short of extraordinary. The demand for dynamic, technology-driven revenue management strategies is surging, and our clients are witnessing results. We are proud to provide solutions that enable hoteliers to swiftly adapt, enhance profitability, and improve guest experiences.”

IDeaS’ growth in 2024 was anchored by substantial client acquisitions across the hospitality sector. This progress highlights the company’s capability to deliver tailored revenue management solutions to various property types, from boutique accommodations to extensive resort chains and multi-property portfolios. This momentum continues into 2025, reinforcing IDeaS’ presence in both established and emerging markets.

As Greek hoteliers confront rising operational costs, stricter lending conditions, and an ever-evolving digital distribution landscape, investing in revenue management technology has become crucial. By leveraging advanced demand forecasting to inform dynamic pricing, inventory, and distribution decisions—down to specific room types and market segments—operators enhance their agility in adapting to changing market dynamics, enabling more sustainable long-term growth.
