Travelex has signed a new six-year contract extension with Fraport, the operator of Frankfurt Airport, further extending a 31-year partnership between the leading foreign exchange company and Germany’s busiest airport.
Leonard Stolk, Director of Travelex Europe said: “We are absolutely delighted to take the next step in our decades-long journey with Frankfurt Airport. FRA was our very first German home, back in 1993, and I’m truly proud to see how our relationship has gone from strength to strength since then – reflecting the trust between our teams and the quality of the Travelex service. We look forward to continuing our partnership over the next six years, and beyond.”

Passengers can utilize Travelex’s stores to purchase over 50 different currencies on the travel day or collect cash at the airport, pre-ordered on the Travelex website. The company also provides tax refund services at the terminal. Last November, Travelex unveiled its latest store in the airside area of Terminal 1B, Non-Schengen.
Having opened its first store at Frankfurt Airport in 1993, Travelex now operates 25 stores across various German airports, including Berlin, Hamburg, and Cologne, as well as over 50 ATMs. Most recently, the company won the tender to operate at Munich Airport, thereby establishing a presence in every major airport in Germany.
