Vietjet Launches Two New Direct Flights to China
Vietjet expands its routes from Hanoi to Chengdu and Xi’an in China, enhancing connectivity and travel options for the region.
Vietjet introduces two new direct routes from Vietnam’s capital Hanoi to Chengdu and Xi’an, China.
Inaugural flights will commence on July 1st and 6th respectively, providing four round trip flights each week.
These new routes increase Vietjet’s total number of direct Vietnam–China services initiated in the first half of 2025 to seven, bolstering its expanding flight network.
For travelers from Singapore, this offers a more efficient transit to China through Vietnam’s cities, enhancing travel flexibility and affordability across the area.
To commemorate this launch, promotional fares for these new routes are available on the Vietjet website and via their mobile app.
Increasing Connectivity to China
These flights come after Vietjet’s recent connections from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Beijing and Guangzhou, plus the introduction of the Hanoi-Shanghai route in March and April. These additional flights will enhance travel and trade links between Vietnam and China, facilitating improved access between Southeast Asia and China.
Vietjet has been actively broadening its international reach, with direct links now available from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to key Chinese urban centers like Shanghai, Chengdu, Xi’an, Beijing, and Guangzhou.
Moreover, the airline is set to improve regional connectivity with a new direct route from Singapore to Phu Quoc launching on May 30. In the early quarters of the year, Vietjet also introduced services connecting Ho Chi Minh City to Hyderabad and Bengaluru in India, and to Nagoya and Fukuoka in Japan.
