Dida has announced the appointment of Luca Plotegher as the new European Director – Direct Hotel Partnerships. With over 15 years of experience in the travel and hospitality sector, including key roles at Expedia Group, where he successfully managed business development and account management teams, Plotegher is ready to enhance Dida’s European strategies.
Luca comes to Dida during a period of rapid European expansion for the company, which has been experiencing significant growth from global source markets. Notably, the five leading European destinations driving business in terms of volume include the UK (+86%), France (+85%), Germany (+79%), Spain (+104%), and Italy (+87%).
The primary source markets contributing to this growth involve China, USA, Germany, Brazil, and Saudi Arabia, enabling Dida’s hotel partners to connect with these pivotal yet often challenging markets. Through various channels such as tour operators and travel management companies, Dida empowers hoteliers with additional distribution opportunities, boosting booking increments while supporting their direct marketing efforts.
